Folk Art

Last weekend I finally had some time to visit some of the stores on my To Do list for quite some time. While at Bennett Galleries, I discovered an artist whose needlework reminds me of the old fashioned letter press work done at YeeHaw Industries in downtown Knoxville. You'd have to see it up close to appreciate what she does, but it's basically painting with fabric scraps and funky fonts.

I immediately fell in love with Chris Roberts Antieau's work. One fine day, I will have a glorious kitchen with her Table Manners decorating my wall. Nevermind the manners part, though, as I do live with Josh after all. :)
